International Baccalaureate

The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) provides advanced standing credit for students who complete and pass International Baccalaureate examinations. Students must earn a score of 4 or above to receive advanced credit for Higher Level subjects and 5 or above for Standard Level subjects.

The amount of credit awarded for Higher Level subjects corresponds to the amount for a normal two-semester series in the UNI curriculum for IB examinations. The amount of credit awarded for Standard Level subjects corresponds to the amount for a normal one-semester series in the UNI curriculum for IB examinations.
